This page is designed to help current and prospective providers understand how to participate in the Behavioral Health Higher Education Program (BHHEP). Here, you’ll find everything you need to post positions and manage documentation for internship and loan forgiveness opportunities.
Overview
The Behavioral Health Higher Education Program (BHHEP) connects behavioral health providers with qualified students and recent graduates through paid internships and loan forgiveness programs.
Providers gain access to motivated candidates, financial support, and visibility across BHHEP’s recruitment network.
How Providers Benefit
-
Paid Interns: Funded bachelor’s and master’s students ready to support your programs.
-
Loan Forgiveness Programs: Up to $20,000 (Bachelor’s) or $40,000 (Master’s) in loan forgiveness for eligible hires.
-
Recruitment Support: BHHEP promotes your open roles to behavioral health students and alumni.
-
Marketing & Visibility: Job postings shared through BHHEP channels and social media.
-
Retention & Stability: Both internships and loan forgiveness programs are designed to build lasting relationships, reducing turnover and strengthening your workforce.

Participating as a BHHEP provider is simple.
